Great, the return of Premium Ebonites!

Did you get my email ordering two pens, Mr Kandan?

A bit late for me, but it might be useful to see how this model compares in size with some of your others, please.

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

Excited to see so many beautiful premium ebonite colours! Some I've never seen before in previous group buys.

I know you've specified a shipping rate range for the rest of the world, but how much specifically, would it cost to ship to Australia?

BTW, the google order form allows you to take a tour of the available colours and ebonites with some additional larger pictures (just tried) so if you are undecided go in and take a look...

(However, I warn you it's not easy to leave the page without sending in the order form...)

Yes, I think there’s another colour I’m going to have to not miss too - I’ll resend my original order plus an addition tomorrow, Mr Kandan, if that’s ok?

Many thanks, this looks like a lovely model.

I already ordered (S31, Burnt Orange). I couldn't resist it. Is there anything that serves as a roll-stop? Or do you have to be careful where you place it?

That’s good news, Mr Kandan! I have just sent my revised order, for three pens, to your Yahoo email. Let me know if that is not the correct one, please!

Many thanks.

  • 2 weeks later...

My pens arrived today! Amazingly quick - thank you, Mr Kandan. The lighting is too poor here now for taking pix but I will try tomorrow. I really like the shape of these pens, very pleasing.

Sorry, don’t seem able to upload any pix. Has the system changed?? Keep getting the message ‘upload not allowed’ ...

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
