Pilot 912 Fa Nib Transformed

Recommended Posts

I support negative overseas evaluations.  I did all the writing in Japanese and English, to slow writing, no pressure, like soft nibs.  As a result, this nib skipped every scene.  I've bought this nib three times in the past and all have problems.  There is likely a problem with the nib and feed combination. I think the problem is not baby bottom. As soon as I changed to the FNF feed, all the issues were fixed.

In addition, Pilot companies describe this nib as Ultraflex, but it's really just a soft nib. Thay need to advertise it to be used in the same way as a F nib, but they don't.

Where?

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct for valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

This is their formal answer.  If in doubt, please contact the official page.  There is evidence in my email, but I can't display it on here.

I switched my 912 FA to an FNF feed and the pen is a lot more reliable.  The hard starting has not completely gone although virtually so in comparison to previously.  The flow is tad too generous for my taste though... the lesser evil, I'm thinking.

You can easily get an answer by contacting Pilot.  And if something goes wrong after posting a screenshot of what I have inquired about, I may be sued for defamation in Japan.  It doesn't matter if it's true or not, it's an  Information ethics issue.  I don't think I need to take that risk.  For the same reason, I do not post screenshots of evidence of correspondence with companies on the topic of lacquer.

I hope you will understand.Thank you.
