I'm waiting on the arrival of the imaginary Kingsize Minimalistica to order.

Add lightness and simplicate.

Haven’t heard a thing. I wonder how they will handle the reopening, will it be first come first served? Will previous customers get a heads up? I assume there will be an order cap of some kind now to avoid another backlog.

Or a soft reopening so they don't get swamped.

Alright folks, as we stare down the barrel of the last few days of September I’m remaining cautiously optimistic. Here’s to hoping!

If only I could be so pragmatic.

I can take a healthy dose of disappointment every once in a while. If a pen’s purchase being delayed for a while longer is the worst thing to happen to me this autumn, then I’ll be doing alright.

No expectation = no disappointment

Suddenly I cant load the Conid Homepage. The domain is offline. Am I the only one seeing this?

I'm seeing the same thing. I'm hoping it's perhaps a (clunky) website refresh?

Yeah, I’m seeing it too. Once you click through the security advisory on Safari the following message appears: “The account which is hosting this domain has been temporarily disabled.

If you are the owner of this account, please check your e-mail and contact support or your sales representative.”

Could be a clunky refresh, or it could be nothing at all. We’ll see, I suppose.

perhaps they didn't updated their SSL certificate for the site or made some error on their SSL.

It's failing for me, too (Chrome on macOS).

Update:
Currently they are using a self-signed certificate for the wrong domain,
that will never work, they need to fix it.

So, does this mean it is likely a technical error, no more?

Don't think so. When you accept the faulty cert, you get this message:

"The account which is hosting this domain has been temporarily disabled.

If you are the owner of this account, please check your e-mail and contact support or your sales representative."
Usually this comes up, if you don't pay your Webhosting fees.
Not a good sign...

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
