Lufthansa Branded Pen

Has anyone seen a Lufthansa Airline branded fountain pen?

I do not know what a Lufthansa Airline branded fountain pen would look like, I just like to imagine the flag ship airline of Germany probably comissioned Montblanc, Pelikan, Kaweco, Diplomat or Waldmann at some point to fashion a smart fountain pen in that darkest of blue and gold hues. In the same crazy dream, I imagine the company would give this as a retirement gift or perhaps sell it in one of their WorldShops.

Up to this point, I found a Montblanc rollerball and a Montblanc ballpoint both with "Lufthansa" engraved on the clip. In the Lufthansa preflight store, I see a Caran d’Ache ballpoint in yellow. No fountain pens exist.

I have seen a Lufthansa imprinted Pelikan Fountain Pen.

As they are a transportation company, not an engineering company any pen that would be branded as Lufthansa would likely simply be a liscenced product, similar to the "Harley Davidson" Fountain pens made by a variety of manufactures over a number of years.

Good for a Lufthansa enthusiast, but few else, unless actually designed and made by a competent manufacturer. The reason I have a couple Waterman Fountain Pens which happen to be Harley Davidson themed, but not a collection of Harley Davidson themed pens, made by a variety of manufacturers.

Yes, I came across a Parker Duofold with the Lufthansa logo on the clip. I thought it looked very sharp. This was right after I abandoned the idea (go figure) and decided on a Leonardo Offlicinia Italiana Momento Zero Blue Hawaii GT. I am still waiting for it to arrive, but think this is a good substitute. I am trying to encourage the use of fountain pens by giving them as gifts.

I bought a Lufthansa brandet writing set about 25 years ago. I tried lately to find some more details on these, but couldn't find them.
What I remember is, they are made out of titan from the engines and they have different jewellery. The tip is made of 18k white gold.
I couldn't get more information on this set so far. Asked at the German penexchange.de network.

Best

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
