No International Mail From Japan

Just received two packages that were posted separately on April 10th. One arrived on July 6 and one today. That’s about 3 months in transit. In addition, the US is still on the restricted list in terms of sending packages.

Obviously Japan isn't the only country not sending out mail. I'm still waiting for a CD I ordered in the US early May. According to tracking it is on halt in NY since 10th of June.

Obviously it depends what country you are in, I bought a Pilot 742 from Japan on 2nd July and it was delivered on 14th July.

I have ordered two shipments this month from Japan to Rhode Island, They both arrived in about a week.

I guess it varies?

EMS from Japan to Netherlands seems to work fine with the two examples I can share:

sent 11 July - received 18 July = 7 days

sent 2 August - received 11 August = 9 days

> Sending to US is still not possible

Sorry my fault, I was talking about sending with Japanpost.

Knowledge already several times mentioned in this thread.

Sending with DHL, UPS, Fedex to the US was always possible but it costs an arm and a leg for normal people (without account).

And yes, there are countries which were always served by Japanpost (Germany, etc).

> I have an account and I can send to US (1kg) for 3,000 yen.

Without account, it would be nearly 9000.

So, how/where did you get that account? Do you need to "have" a company? Thanks.

I'll say I bought a pen from Eboya in the beginning of the month and it took 3 days from Tokyo to Chicago via DHL. I was honestly shocked how quickly it came, but shipping was fairly pricey.

Facts please. Nobody can know what you find pricey. Thank you.

Youll need a company. I used my company contract.

It was 6500 yen or a little over $60

Thats quite high. Eboya Pens come in small boxes. Maybe half a kg or 1kg box at most.

The 6500 Yen are already a reduced price. Perhaps it also depends on how many shipments you do in your contract.

The basic fees (in Yen) - see below. US is Zone 5 and Germany Zone 6 to give you an idea how these companies milk the small clients.
