Iron Gall And The Parker Vacumatic

I'm curious to know if anyone has had experience with using an iron gall ink such as R&K Scabiosa/Salix, KWZ, or Hero 232 in a vintage Parker Vacumatic with the transparent rings in the barrel. Does an iron gall ink stain or will the standard vinegar solution remove any residue that might accumulate in the barrel?

I have run Salix and MB's original IG Blue Black through my DuoVac senior with no issues. Transparency is still remarkably good for a pen on the cusp of 80.

Vintage. Cursive italic. Iron gall.
