If you're thinking of Perle Noire, Lie de Thé, etc. they don't belong under the Jacques Herbin brand, but its sister brand Herbin. In the same vein, Graf von Faber-Castell and Faber-Castell are related but separate brands.

Which is a rather new development though. When did they split? Last year?

Thanks OP for posting this link. I went with the Fir Green as it's the only one I think I would use regularly. I love dark green inks.

You're welcome!

I am looking forward to this ink and wonder how it'll be packaged. They say it'll have gold and silver glitter, so it fits neither into the 1670 line nor the 1798....

Their "split" is also quite confusing to the consumer it seems, not sure how good an idea that was...

Well, like I said earlier: my general response to the 1670 and 1798 inks have been hit or miss. I'd have to see the final product (and whether it will be gold or silver sheen) but overall I suspect I'd take a pass. Just happy it wasn't the other green....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Glad it was Fir Green -- depending on how it ends up, I might get a bottle.

“I admit it, I'm surprised that fountain pens are a hobby. ... it's a bit like stumbling into a fork convention - when you've used a fork all your life.”

As per initial statement, it'll have both gold and silver glitter.
