How To Get A Conid ?

Bro78

Recommended Posts

Hello,

maybe someone can help me or give me a hint...

I found out I want a Conid Bulkfiller, but unfortunately they shut off the production until may,

and I discovered no store has them on stock...

It also appears that on the whole web nobody has a used one up for sale.

Do I miss something or it's just a bad moment to get this pen ?

Many thanks for reading this,

ATB

Fred

I think it's just a bad moment. I'm sure someone knows how to purchase one now, but I also want one and I'm just going to wait untill may when their shop reopens.

yes.. it's just a bad time to try and get one since Conid has stopped taking orders to meet their current production demands. A lot of Conid owners love their pens so I usually don't see too many up for sale.

Yeah, think you're just out of luck until they open orders again unless you stumble across one used for sale.

I'd go out on a limb and say ALL Conid owners love their pens, which explains the near non-existent availability of used in the market place.

Shear dumb luck being the first one to respond to an add. That's how i ended up with my Minimalistica, i got lucky and responded within a couple of minutes of the add going live.

I fear it is sold :( I would have gladly bought, titanium broad... it would have been just perfect for me...

Put a WTB in the Classifieds?

Aren't you clever, sidthecat? I hope that one day Conid can charm you with a ring-top. It would be a lovely idea! :D Would you like?

Um...find someone who has one and steal it from them?

You’re barking up the wrong tree, dear. There isn’t a Conid for miles.

That's OK I'll just take whatever I can find.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
