Diamine launches the 2019 Inkvent Calendar today. As I understand, it will available broadly at £67. The Calendar is made up of a mixture of standard, shimmer and sheening inks and festive colours created for the calendar as follows: 24x 7ml and 1x 30ml inks. The unis are well behaved, easy to use and clean. I will upload photos shortly, in the meantime, they can be found here:

Wow! The Jack Frost ink looks grand! Hate to buy the calendar for a 7 ml sample....hopefully it becomes available separately.

I hope they will do as they have done for the Music and Flowers sets and eventually offer the inks separately in the 30 ml size.

OK that interesting... Considering its the DIAMINE INKVENT CALENDAR I would hope it wasn't false advertising!

Me too, it makes me think if JH Emerald of Chivor had a sibling, Jack would be it!

One of the places I get email ads from listed it today said " The only problem you might face with the Inkvent Calendar is resisting the compulsion to get ahead of yourself."

No, the only problem I can see (other than the price, of course) is that if I like some of the inks -- will I be able to get REFILLS! (Sort of the problem with the Flower Collection inks, which was my Christmas present a couple of years ago....)

You CAN get refills for the Flower Collection. It's slightly more expensive than standard Diamines, but it's there.

Good to know. I was worried that you couldn't after all this time.

After the day I've had so far (and it's barely lunchtime) I might be in serious need of a back up bottle of Aster.... Or Cornflower -- or both....

Well, today is SOMEWHAT better. In theory, the furnace is fixed. The issues with my computer are SOMEWHAT fixed (had to delete a couple of apps, then re-install older, compatible versions). The issues with the phone lines appear to be MOSTLY fixed (I spent a long time on the phone with the carrier last night going "What do you MEAN I'm not an 'account manager'? I'm the one who signs the checks paying you! And clearly I would not have access to the account number AND invoice number on the bill you JUST sent us (after saying that we were overdue on the bill). And I just got email with MY email address as well as my husband's saying that bill was paid..."). Well, now I am, and have the PIN number to sign in, and we also partly straightened out another issue in the process.

But I'm hoping that the next couple of days are "normal". All depends on whether the car parked across the street (illegally) gets moved so we can get up and down our driveway (the furnace guy had particular trouble). It was there for most of the day (I called the cops when it was still there after 5 PM, and had been there since at least 10 AM).

That's a crazy week, Ruth!! But we'll done for standing your ground. Hope the car has been moved. Or 8ndeed been taken away for forensic examination... How the imagination runs wild with such occurrences. I read way too much Patricia Cornwell. Ah well, back to inky things. Have a good weekend!

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
