I got lucky in an eBay auction yesterday: a Doric ringtop in Kashmir. The condition seems decent, and I'll replace the Manifold nib with sliderless Adjustable nib that I stripped from the corpse of a ruined pen. You might call the nib ruined, but I call them paintbrush-flexy.

When I get the thing I'll post some pictures.

yes, looking forward to seeing some pix. Assume the model name refers to a colour, perhaps? - though unsure - before seeing the pix - quite how I'd imagine Kashmir to appear - maybe a pastel shade of some sort.

It's darkish green. I have a similar pen - a Junior with an 18k flexible nib - in the same color. I think it's relatively stable.

@sidthecat, Dorics are the most beautiful pens, I had a few, but decided it was too risky, and sold them years ago.

You are probably safe with the black ones.

Nothing is safe in the long run. I discovered the hard way that even the best marriage will end in tears.

That’s all we can do, though I hear my Russian Jewish ancestors whispering: “Hope for the best; expect the worst.”

Very beautiful Doric. Congratulations, sidthecat. May I ask how long is the pen capped?

Here’s a nice picture - still with the nib it came with:
