Are We Really Environmental Friendly?

I think this post by the original poster is nothing but an exercise in virtue-signalling.

I use my fountain pens, and I fill them with ink, I flush my pens. And I dont care a damn about the so-called environmental impact of my actions.

So is this post, for that matter. So what? Values are not to be scorned, are they?

I don’t run my life worried about saving the planet. Do I litter or do things intentionally to hurt it? No. Do I worry about driving an electric car, using electric mowers, etc etc etc. Not in the least.

Hair shirts sold here. Vintage Saint Used hair shirts on sale. Used flagellation whips also.

Just remember the whole idea is to make money off of global warming...........and all politicians are paid off somehow, by those who can make or fear losing money.

Rest of rant deleted.........twice.

Global warming is a fact, just ask Al Gore

Individually, each of my fountain pens is environmentally friendly. Collectively, they are not. An individual fountain pen can be reused for years only needing more ink which can be made environmentally friendly. However, I have far more pens than I can ever use or need. That does present a dilemma for me. I have thought of paring down my collection significantly. Haven’t done that yet but I have stopped buying pens.

Also, do not assume that glass collected through recycling is recycled into new glass. It is cheaper and easier to make glass from sand than recycled bottles, etc. In the city I live in, glass can be “recycled”. What happens to it? It is ground up and used to cover trash at the landfill. “Recycled” glass can also be mixed with asphalt to make roads more visible at night.

This topic has gone off the rails too many times. Many posts have been hidden and this topic is being locked. FPN is not the place for political discussions and rants and calling each other names.
