We received our order of Zayantes and Davenports in the new acrylics, and I can tell you they are even more beautiful in person!

Bravo to Ranga for finding a good source of beautiful acrylics :D

We will be stocking many of the Ranga models in these acrylics, as well as the new solids and swirls.

Thank you Mr Kandan for organizing another group buy.

Form submitted. Ordered a Model 4 in Red Gold Cracked Ice with gold clip and Jowo gold tone EF nib.

Haven't participated in group buy for a while. Should I wait for your instruction for payment?

Hello. Some people have received a shipping notification, and some people, who made their ordered after mine, have got a reply from you saying their order is nearly shipped.

I'm wondering, does this mean my order has been processed? I haven't received any notifications.

Just wondering how this works.

Thanks.

To paraphrase from Dune: We have pen sign!

Arrived today, haven't even started cutting the wrappings. Postman actually made a diagonal across the street to my driveway to intercept me (I'd just taken the trash bin to the curb) rather than follow normal route and then have to knock on my door later.

Thanks for letting us know. Please post pictures

Since you asked...

Inked, though I haven't drained the others yet... Means I've added two pens to the inked list but haven't removed any.

I just today received my Brown Crush Acrylic Ranga 8B (not a group buy offering, ordered direct to Mr. Kandan July 4, finished and shipped July 10.) there was the famous cloth-wrapped package, then an English-language Indian newspaper wrapper, and finally the plaid Ranga box with my 8B and a free Oliver Exam demonstrator. The 8B is just beautiful and very comfortable in hand. An eyedropper was also enclosed, and the section threads we pre-lubricated for ED service, though I am using the 8B with a converter at present.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures Sir

Personally, they are just ugly cell-phone camera pictures, sent to my computer, and resized in Photoshop.

If I were trying for "beautiful" pictures I'd dig up the 600W halogen photoflood, tripod, 60mm macro lens, and light tent :yikes:

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
