Metal or Makrolon? If it is metal, then puddle.gif

 

Is makrolon not 'good' for some objective reason or is that just a preference? The reason I ask is cos I recently passed on a mint macrolon 2000 for half retail price and have been kinda regretting it!

I just prefer the heft of the metal L2K. The makrolon is used far less than the metal.

OTOH, the paint finish would look better on metal.

Im the reverse! I use my makrolon one far more often, although the balance of the steel 2000 is lovely, the weight is more than I like for anything beyond a quick note.

 

Also the cost is lower. So Im hoping for makrolon.

As I don't post, I prefer the heft of the metal barrel. It is the same reason I like the Dialog 3.

 

I have a feeling you might get your wish since makrolon far outnumbers metal.

A blueblack Lamy 200 should be pretty. I imagine it somewhat like the Noto in blue color with silver tip (nightblue I think is the official name).

The red and blue Aion pens are really quite "bright" - a little too much so for my taste - so I'd be hoping this is a darker shade. Though if I don't like the colour, I'm less likely to be tempted, I suppose!

IMO, it will be 'dull' if on makrolon and 'bright' if on metal.

Both versions would be ideal, even though I still favour metal. puddle.gif

There you go!

 

If you are going to make the "Special" non-black, then make it really non-black!

 

None of this Blue (almost black) or Green (almost black).

If you want "almost black" just buy a regular black, save yourself the cost of a "Special Edition" and just claim that you can see whatever color you want it to be when you hold it up to the light.

I'm still waiting for a red Lamy 2000... at an affordable price.

 

Hopefully, more colours will follow should the blue make a successful debut.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..
