Document Ink(S) For Signature

Recommended Posts

Is there an appropriate ink for signature of voluminous legal closing documents four or five times a month?

Might anyone have suggestion(s)?

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Paul

I like to know also, something fast drying.

I carry a set of Lamy 2000s and usually use the ballpoint. Ive found the ink on my fountain pens doesnt dry fast enough.

I use Mont Blanc Permanent Blue for any document or check writing, don't have the permanent Black but have heard good things about it also.

come immediately to mind. I believe all are “bulletproof”. I believe the Polar ink can not be removed by bleach or other harsh chemicals. I’m sure there are others.

I'll second MB Permanent Blue, not only because it's fast drying, doesn't bleed or feather easily and shades wonderfully but because it is DIN ISO 14145-2 certified for permanence. It really doesn't get better than this.

However be advised that in the long run the ink will leave a residue that will cloud ink windows. It can be cleaned but to avoid any problems I would only use it in c/c pens.

@Ruaidhri This was an absolutely wonderful bit of writing, and I hope that you're able to maintain the style once all of the medications are out of your system.  Take care and recover quickly!

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.

Was that the end of the Laboratory? Somehow the exactitude created a fully destructive device, as always!
