OOOOOH! Thanks for the heads up!

I try to get there at least once a year, just to poke around. I've never actually bought any pens there, but I get ink, and a couple of Christmases ago got a copy of the Parker Vacumatic Book, and this last time finally scored a couple of Esterbrook 9xxx nib units that I'd been wanting (not super cheap, but less expensive than what I had been seeing them running on eBay).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

FPH is a world class shop and fun-central for fountain pen aficionados.

Only at a brick and mortar store like FPH can you try out nibs before you buy them.

Worth a visit for any travelers passing through or visiting NYC.

Hi! There are some great deals in the FPH Back Room. Each pen has a condition listed. In recommend that you stick with these 3...mint/new, or virtually mint, or near mint. Those are the specific wordings used to describe the pens. Most fall into these 3 categories, but some do not and I would not take a chance. :)

Agree! There is nothing like the experience of a "road test", in-person, in the hand, before purchasing.
