Payment sent! I'm so looking forward to having another great Ranga for my collection.

I don't expect the cap and body specs I provided to be exact; I'm just hoping to get the pen somewhere between 105m & the usual length, and the cap between 65-70mm so it'll fit in my shirt pocket better. You do masterful work & I'm sure whatever I get will be excellent!

Form sent for a RANGA Bamboo (Regular Size): (Clipless Model)

(Thickness- 16mm dia (barrel and Cap), Capped Length - App 5.75 inches ) in S29. Solid Military Green

Regular / Special Ebonite- with German Bock Screw in Calligraphy 1.1 Nib in Gold Tone and German Schmidt Converter, and I am waiting to make the payment.

I am looking forward to trying out this Bamboo model, praised by Daniel Novotny in his blog for its ergonomics, and to be able to compare this Ranga pen with its Bock 1.1 nib, with my equally ergonomic ASA Nauka and its Jowo 1.1 nib. I understand the Bock may have a little more flex than the Jowo.

Thanks again to Mr Kandan for this group buy.

Finally chose:

Model 3C in Bakul Matte Golden Brown (S24), CC with Bock Chrome EF nib and silver coloured clip.

Hope it lives up to my anticipation - first Ranga and first matte ebonite (in fact, first ebonite full stop as I had to return another brand.) Love the suggested ink match of KWZ Ink Honey, I've been looking at this for some time so now I have an excuse to buy...

in for a model 4c, quetzal green, flex nib (but I think I requested a gold clip instead of the chrome clip that would match the nib / not sure how to remedy / perhaps Ranga folks will see this and remedy; if not, no big deal...)

Or you could sent Mr Kandan M.P. an email - he'll be more than happy to help!

Actually, the email they sent you confirming your order should have a link allowing you to edit your form if you want to change something!

Ah screw it, ordered.

4c in crimson red, gold clip, bock 2 tone EF (I would have ordered a titanium nib if you offered it in extra fine) polished finish.

Also, like I emailed you about, please throw in an extra ebonite feed or two for my eyedropper 3c that I lost.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
