Kwz - Out Of Stock

Anyone have information as to when KWZ will be restocking? Some inks have been out of stock for a while now. Are they taking a break? Are they still in business? Should I be more judicious in the use of their inks?

Add lightness and simplicate.

I am assuming you mean in ordering from their site directly? Everything I have seen from them recently doesn't indicate any of your worries mentioned above. Contacting them directly would provide the best answer of course. Relative to my ability to get the inks, the stockiest in the U.S. appear to have most inks in stock currently...

FP Ink Orphanage-Is an ink not working with your pens, not the color you're looking for, is never to see the light of day again?!! If this is you, and the ink is in fine condition otherwise, don't dump it down the sink, or throw it into the trash, send it to me (payment can be negotiated), and I will provide it a nice safe home with love, and a decent meal of paper! Please PM me!For Sale: TBA

Ordering from retailers in the UK/EU. I tried contacting them. No response.

Pure Pens and The Hamilton Pen Company appear to have many of the KWZ ink stock, The Journal Shop also appears to have most inks in stock, though choosing inks is a bit wonky, Bureau Direct, does appear to have most of theirs out of stock for the UK.

Appelboom appears to have most KWZ inks in stock within the EU....

Hope this helps...

Bureau Direct has gone out of business and is no longer trading. Their website still appears active but that is unfortunately very misleading :-(

Bureau Direct is out of business though for some strange reason the website is still up with everything out of stock

Journal Shop has never carried the full line.

Pure Pens shows ink they do not have in stock.

Appleboom does not have W.O.V or Baltic Memories.

Hamilton Pen is out of stock W.O.V, Baltic Memories and four other colours

La Couronne du Compte also shows inks they do not have in stock.

Fontoplumo has one of the inks I would like but their shipping is more that I'm prepared to pay.

I'll wait patienly.

It's always helpful to mention the specific colors you are looking for, if you are wondering where to find them......

I hear they'll be at The London Pen Show if you fancy a trip down South. Would be a lovely opportunity to meet up too. :)

That would be lovely, but I'm afraid I won't be able to make it to this Show.

I was hoping to purchase from one merchant, but it looks like I'll have to split the order.

Thanks Lgsoltek for the fontainfeder link. They have the most reasonable shipping costs. I'll get the W.O.V from them and the Maroon #2 from the Hamilton #bay site.

Thanks to all for your helpful suggestions!

I've noticed some USA retailers have also been out of stock of some colors, particularly the popular new ones like Walk over Vistula--out of stock at both PenChalet and Anderson Pens. PenChalet and Anderson both have KWZI on sale, and PenChalet is out of most colors now:

https://www.penchalet.com/ink_refills/fountain_pen_ink/kwz_standard_fountain_pen_ink.html

Anderson Pens is out of stock of many colors, but not as easy to see that as on the drop-down menu at PenChalet.

Vannes is not running a sale on KWZI and still has most of the colors in stock.

  • 2 weeks later...

Glad I grabbed me 9 bottles over the last few months.

I LOVE KWZ inks.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China. With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters. Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed. And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments.. I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
