What is this pen? What is the brand / producer / origin?
What model is this?

This is a pen given to me by my father in early 80-ties. I used it for a couple of years as my every day pen.

I cannot identify the producer nor the model.
Must be produced somewhere in 1970-ties ot late 1960-ties? Much likely to be from China ? Maybe Japan?
Maybe someone is able to read the signature on the nib?

No help, would think Japanese.

Japan started getting big in fountain pens in the late '90's....before that it was rather nitch to local market.

Could post this in the Asian sub section.

German vintage '50-70 semi-flex stubs and those in oblique give the real thing in On Demand line variation. Modern Oblique is a waste of money for a shadow of line variation. Being too lazy to Hunt for affordable vintage oblique pens, lets you 'hunt' for line variation instead of having it.

RIP...200's once great nib, now a double ball.:crybaby::wallbash:

Calling Dill - he can read/write both chinese and japanese. Should be able to just figure out what that character on the nib is

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

No, that is definitely Korean character.

I think it is along the lines of Chinria ? Chinrima? I am not well versed but can read the characters a little.

Probably a person that is well versed in Korean can help.

This is a NORTH KOREAN fountain pen. The writing on the nib says '천리마 (Chollima)' which is some mythical creature (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chollima). For another Chollima fountain pen: http://cafe.daum.net/_c21_/bbs_search_read?grpid=8PIW&fldid=JqwZ&datanum=3355

According to the Wikipedia page: Chollima is an important symbol in North Korea. It is used as the nickname of its national association football team. The state also gave the name to the Chollima Movement, which promoted fast economic development, similar to that of the Chinese Great Leap Forward and the Soviet Stakhanovite movement. After the Korean War, the country required rebuilding to function again. In order to expedite the construction, President Kim Il-sung devised the slogan "rush as the speed of Chollima".

Thank You for help. @steve50 Yes this must be Chollima.

In late 70-ties imported pens in my country were mostly from China, I guess. What a surprise. to learn about being an owner of a fountain pen from North Korea

.

@ Mr.Rene - Yes

You are right - to some extent they copied Pilot pens.

@Ruaidhri This was an absolutely wonderful bit of writing, and I hope that you're able to maintain the style once all of the medications are out of your system.  Take care and recover quickly!

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.

Was that the end of the Laboratory? Somehow the exactitude created a fully destructive device, as always!
