What Is My Pen?

Hello! I don't know what this fountain pen is. Could I please get some help? I don't expect it to be something special. My friend just found this and it says on the nib "IRIDIUM POINT". Thanks in advance!

This is what Wikipedia says:

A fountain pen is a nib pen that, unlike its predecessor, the dip pen, contains an internal reservoir of liquid ink. The pen draws ink from the reservoir through a feed to the nib and deposits it on paper via a combination of gravity and capillary action. Filling the reservoir with ink may be achieved manually, via the use of a Pasteur pipette (eyedropper) or syringe, or via an internal filling mechanism which creates suction (for example, through a piston mechanism) or a vacuum to transfer ink directly through the nib into the reservoir. Some pens employ removable reservoirs in the form of pre-filled ink cartridges.

 

In other words, it's a pen that one has a relationship with. That European mid-century number might be a lot of fun to write with once it's cleaned up.

Thanks, but I was refering to the brand of the fountain pen in the pictures from the links.

I expect you wanted to know what model pen you have...

 

very difficult to say, it's not a know model of any known brand

 

it's very likely a Chinese made pen

 

iridium point does not add much to the description, many Chinese pens bear nibs with Iridium Point written on them

 

sorry for not being able to identify it, what you might do is try it out and see if you like using it,

you do not show the inside, it probably holds international cartridges that you can buy in any stationery shop
