Help With Faber Castell Grip

I just bought my first Faber Castell, a very cheap but cheerful Grip, and it writes way too well for a pen of that price. It's wet, it's consistent, it's smooth, I love it.

However, the Faber Castell converter I bought for it won't stick to the feed. No matter how firmly I push it in, it plops out. Am I missing something?

Hi Anna,

I have two Grips and they're great budget pens... not sure why the branded converter doesn't fit... check its nipple and make sure there isn't any "flashing" on it from the molding process.

Secondly, any standard international converter/cartridge should fit... do you have any others you can use to test the pen with... perhaps it's the pen with flashing or a misformed feed... ?

Does this pen convert to eye dropper?

Hi MW,

I think you can... it's all plastic and I do not recall any vent holes in the barrel. I'll check later to confirm it.

One review also stated the pen leaks ink into the cap and can dirty the section. Any experience with this?

I have two and have not encountered that problem with either of them,... but it's difficult to say... I lead a charmed life. :D

Be well. :)

They are on sale at a local stationary store. I have too many pens but I enjoy FC pens and this seems like a nice option.

However, my Wing Sung 6359 is difficult to dislodge as an EDC pen for work.

Yes... there are no metal parts on the section or inside the barrel; nor are there any vent holes.

Be well. :)

I'd just order a converter. they're only a couple bucks.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)
