Look up Ken Fraser. A Scots calligrapher that has been around for years. He has a DVD on various calligraphy hands, as well as books on Italic and Copperplate scripts.

Enjoy,

Yours,
Randal

From a person's actions, we may infer attitudes, beliefs, --- and values. We do not know these characteristics outright. The human dichotomies of trust and distrust, honor and duplicity, love and hate --- all depend on internal states we cannot directly experience. Isn't this what adds zest to our life?

Calligraphy books are great for learning, but to actually watch a teacher or master write and hear them explain technique takes learning to another level!

Not sure if Ken Fraser still sells his DVDs or not. I know he doesn't sell his Italic book any longer.

Google "Calligraphy DVD" for more sources.

I know you are trying to help, but do you really think I need to be advised to use google? I am also already sold on the idea of them. I want a specific recommendation, preferably from someone who has seen the dvds, or at least other videos from the same calligrapher.

Sorry Ryan5, my eyes overlooked the bandwidth issue.

Unsure how often Ken visits here. However do look back into his earlier tutorial posts here as your circumstances allow.

We're not supposed to copy paste hot links here, so besides using the messaging system here try:

kenfrasercalligrapher dot

Instagram & particularly Youtube as your bandwidth permits.

Also book/DVD recommendations at theflourishfoum.
