So I bought EF's for work pens.

I too prefer EF but also use OB/OBB. Hope to get a O3B.

Good choice with the pens. thumbup.gif

After a trip to Las Vegas days before a milestone bday, I'm now waiting for a red gold 146 with an EF nib.....

My fingers are always inky and I'm always looking for something new.  Interested in trading?  Contact me!

This addition was actually from back in January, but only have gotten around to uploading photos now.

PoA 888 Ludwig, probably my favorite pen to date...

I think it's a splendid design: clean as a whole, extremely detailed on close inspection.

Just two quibbles:

- the little ruby on the central ring does not line up with the clip

- I can't quite shake how the crown comes off as if it might be plastic. I think maybe this bit would have been better served w/ a slightly darker, neutral colored metal/alloy

I stopped by the MB Boutique yesterday to pick up the Le Petit Prince (LeGrand Resin with a F nib) on hold for me. They had a great inventory of LPP pens but only one notebook which I also purchased. I really like the pens design, appearance, and color (a warm brown).

Like the late adopter I am, my latest MB purchase is a Heritage 1912. Took me ages to get this one.

Can't stop admiring the snowglobe-like finial.

I love the tactile feel of the mechanism and the amazing, springy, smooth F nib.

Been using it for the past week, and as soon as I have more experience with it I'll either write a standalone review or post in the 1912 thread. But so far, I'm hooked.

Geodesigner...

Are you still enjoying the Heritage 1912? Pen looks beautiful.

Mine should be coming in 2 weeks...can't wait.

David

Hi Geodesigner,

Have you developed scratching on the barrel of the 1912 from just capping the pen?

Regards,

David

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
