Colorverse Andromeda

Andromeda is a gorgeous magenta but with a subpar performance.

The colour is a saturated rich magenta, and has a rather strong golden sheen. However, it is extremely slow to dry. And it’s a dry ink. I’m using a Pilot Music nib here which is not a wet nib, but a perfect tool to test the dryness of an ink. Andromeda performs terribly. Look at all that skipping in the writing sample and especially the strokes at the bottom right corner. Such performance is truly disappointing given the price tag.

Thank you for the great review! I know many people like this ink, but I find it too dry as well. I will stick with Monteverde Garnet.

I just find all these colorverse inks to be nightmares when it comes to smearing. They definitely don't earn the premium price tag they ask.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

OH man, more never dry inks. I use insanely wet nibs so once again, you have saved me, LG!!!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
