Is There A List Of Every Wing Sung Pen Out There?

I was at the Central Ohio Pen club meeting when I was mentioning my love of Sheaffer triumph nibs, and they mentioned a Wing Sung 233 pen has a knock off of those nibs. I looked and I was so ready to buy. Then a small typo and I accidentally discovered the 234 so I looked further, found the beautiful 327. I come here and I see a post for a variant on the work pens I give to clients: a 601, the 601a variant now has their knockoff triumph nib on it. Got me wondering, does a list of every Wing Sung exist? Id bet there are a lot of others Id be interested in, but I do not know what to look for.

WingSung the Factory... The main body of WingSung's history began from 1947 as 商务自来水笔厂 and CPC(may be Commercial Pen Company) for short in English . WingSung brand from a small factory whose brand was Life in English and I do not know which factory it is and when the factory founded, it may be founded in 1940s~early 1950s.

They are Lily, for scoring Bridge's score. Lily 718=WingSung 239, manufactured by Hefei Pen General Factory, with which WingSung had an affiliation relation.

The first factory manufacturing Triumph nib FP is Dah-Loh, which made over production line to Xinhua(WingSung) in 1960s.

I am not sure whether Xinhua(WingSung) had manufactured 258 Lucky mosquito/bee style which is snorkel.

Andong and Nanjing had special triumph nib and Nanjing considered itself as the second factory which can manufacture triumph nib.

Neato! Did Hero buy the nibs for their lone model from Wing Sung?

Hero had an affiliation relation with Nanjing Pen Factory, which can manufacture Triumph nib FP and got the license to use Hero brand as Hero's branch. Nanjing Pen Factory considered itself as the second factory which can manufacture triumph nib.

You always have such great details to share! Do you know if they got the tooling to make these nibs from Sheaffer? Or did they develop their own?

Sheaffer cooperated with WingSung in 1990s. While Chinese triumph nib began from mid 1950s.

So I do not think sheaffer provide the tool to Chinese manufactors.

Some document mentioned Balance was measured then the copy one was manufactured.

I think Triumph nibs were measured then manufacturing as Balance.

Sheaffer cooperated with WingSung in 1990s. And Chinese triumph nib began from mid 1950s, so. However, there were groups of engineer which focused on foreign fp and drew the blueprint.

So industrious! And I just saw your earlier reply that they also developed their own snorkel. Very industrious indeed. Reverse engineering is not as easy as some people think.

I saw blueprints on a online platform of antique, which are Sheaffer snorkel, Parker 61, Pilot Capless and some other fps and drawn in 1960s.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
