gmax
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has seen new images, or heard news of this pen's availability. All I've seen so far are the pre-release stock images from Aurora, which (considering the Abissi experience) may or may not be realistic. Any update would be much appreciated ✒️
dms525
I believe it is the "tortoise shell" model. See this (no affiliation): https://www.novelli.it/en/pens/Aurora--Optima%20365%20Tortoiseshell--limited-edition.aspx David
gmax
Thanks for the link, but alas it does not show a true photo. I am wary of the pre-release images that Aurora publish, since the Abissi and Azzuro pens bore only a passing resemblance to their pre-release images. I'm just surprised that no photo has emerged of what's billed as a 2018 release. Thanks once again ✒️

When I have expressed concern about the appearance of the specific pen they had in stock, several have offered to email me photos of the specimen they had in stock. If you are seriously interested in a pen, ask your dealer for a photo of the one you would be getting. David

Silent Speaker
Aurora does it again .I wondered what happened to this model. It was announced and then "nothing"; thought I might have imagined its existence. Just reconfirms my conviction to never, ever, buy one of these fancy special edition auraurau's until somebody, somewhere, posts a real pic of it, no matter how tempting any pre-order deals might exist out there for them (and very tempted I have been at times).I did this with the Saturno; was skeptical and avoided, waiting for real-life pics to surface online and I was truly, honestly and pleasantly surprised that the pen came out as advertised. Still didn't buy it, mind you, as other aurora's caught my eye more, but I'm no longer wary about purchasing it (I wish the saturno had some red flecks besides the yellow and blue). For shame!Boo auroraB00000000000000000000000(they don't deserve "o's", just big fat zeros)
Pen-n-Ink
My Aurora Optima 365 arrived today. I purchased it through the Nibsmith and had Dan Smith tune the nib before he sent it. It writes beautifully and I'm quite pleased with it. The image posted by Iquanasell is very accurate compared to the pen I recieved. I took a quick photo with my phone here in artificial lighting. The actual pen appears lighter than this photo represents but the reflective particles in the pen show up nicely when seen in person.
gmax
The material has good depth and transparency. Congratulations ✒️
