Great review, horrible color. I bought this one because I thought it would be fun and a little provocative taking notes with it during meetings. I was wrong. It's too light, too bland for my taste.

I finally bought a sample of this ink. Luckily, it isn't as pink as visvamitra's review showed, but more like what you can see in ScarletWoodland's photo, more coral- or salmon-like. But it isn't as dark as that. Actually, it's so washed-out that it's uncomfortable to read after a few lines.

I'll give this ink a second opportunity with other pens, to see whether there's one that yields better results, but I don't think I'll end up buying a bottle.

I'm obviously in a minority on this one - I like it a lot. It definitely needs a broad/stub nib and is nice to draw with. Mine has a clear grey undertone and is very much not pink - it's a proper coral. I only got it as a 'match' ink for a kaweco sport collector's edition coral with a BB (and because was in a set that was ridiculously cheap) and it works really well.  The only thing I might change is to swap the nib to an italic as it needs all the width it can get to make it properly readable.

I love this one! Please tell me if there is a better coral?

The orange/pink boundary is a subtle one. Neither Diamine Vermilion, Flamingo nor Coral appeal to me. I did not enjoy De Atramentis "Lachs", nor Monteverde Coral, so I was keen to give this a go.

I have this in 10ml and in cartridge form bought for a Travellers' Brass Pen (Factory Green!) which is cartridge only. This is my everyday, in the pocket, annotation and notation pen, and this is a great color for that purpose.

I used to use R&K Fernambuk when I needed to get attention without being offensive (isn't this the purpose of pink?), but this, while sure to get attention, is more beguiling still!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
