Hi friends

I hope you are well, in such a difficult time.

I tell you that I have been working hard on the third update of the Limited And Specials Editions Guide, but my multiple obligations have caused me to delay the work much longer than expected.

Without prejudice to this, and this work update is not ready, since version II is not available with the move of servers, I share them again.

I hope you enjoy it and comment, contributing the missing editions or the adjustments that are required.

 Regards

I was looking at the Petit Prince ballpoint the other night, and I see that sometimes they're using the term "Mid-Size". (As opposed to Classique or Le Grand)

Is it safe to say that the Mid-size on these special editions is the 146/Le Grand size?

Hi Number Six

I think it is not possible to say that the "mid size" is the "legrand" because the size is considerably different.

Here I post a photo where you can see the sizes of the ballpoints:

Mozart 116

Classique 164

Midsize

Le Grand 161

My Virginia Woolf says 16,000, not the 14,000 listed.

Pictures with permission of Pentime....he takes great pictures; my Brownie not.

I really like the my eyes only nib bling.

The clip has polished and matt coloring.

@Bo Bo Olson

I don't know the specific of this particular model release numbers but in general the total number of WE pens engraved on your pen includes the total number made including those as 3 pen sets. So if MB say they made 14,000 FPs, and the engraving says 16,000 FP, that means 2000 FPs were part of a 3 piece set. They tend to do that with all their WE pens. Hope this helps.

I didn't know that, but my Woolf bought on sale is my only LE MB, so I was not up to date on the small stuff.

I didn’t know there was a mid-size!

The size above LeGrand would be called Diplomat?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
