Aurora Minerali Demonstrators

Hi, everyone!

We just wrote a review of the Aurora Minerali series demonstrators - tried to provide some advice as to why we like them so much (all their nibs are made in-house!). These are definitely some of our favorite demonstrators out there!

Let us know what you think or if there's another demonstrator you like more! :)

If I wasn't so against gold nibs coated in pure white (I'll begrudgingly take two tone) I'd probably buy one of these. I really do want to try an aurora triple broad nib.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

Demonstrators from Aurora are all rhodium currently - and unfortunately a BBB nib is something they don't make. :( Don't think anyone is making them now except bespoke MB that are done during the factory tour, etc...

You should put at least some of your review here otherwise the thread is not a review it is an advertisement and does not belong in this forum.

Many people do not click to links off site so I think you ate doing yourself a disservice.

I didn't click on the link either. Zaddick is right, this is an advertisement.

Thanks for the feedback! We're still fairly new here, so we'll definitely do that in the future! Thanks again!

I've seen some of the other aurora models with a triple broad and OBBB. know the 88 isn't one of them though.

The alpha can sometimes be found with an OBBB and BBB.

They don't do them in the factory anymore (from what we're told), but there are some great nibmeisters that are able to grind them into these sizes. Since they are produced in-house, they're pretty easy to grind! I'd like to write with one too - preferably the oblique!!

Indeed, as you are selling these, this has to be seen as an advertisement.

You do some wonderful descriptions, but there is no objectivity to be expected.

And advertisements are forbidden in the forums.

As a shopowner you are advised to take a Premium Membership. That will give you access to "The Mall" where you can advertise the brands you are selling in that forum.

Some information for all members:

Real reviews should have the whole review text plus some photographs here on the forum, although it is allowed to link for some additional photographs.

Posts in the review section that just contain a link to a blog with a review will be moved to the regular brand forums. Even then the post should at least contain some information on what to expect on that site. And as you can see in the reactions above, many members refuse to follow links, for security reasons, and right the are!

Pure advertising will be removed.

Agreed. Look around at some of the other reviews here and you'll get a feel for this site...pen geeks and luxury goods seekers are largely two different crowds. :)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
