Purchased from and shipped by jpzh11 yesterday, complete with tracking number.

Add lightness and simplicate.

I should have mine next week. Will post some impressions as soon as it arrives and gets filled!

Size seems to be similar, but the metal parts on the section suggest the balance will be different from that of the 309 which I love for its lightness and balance.

I just pulled the trigger on the translucent blue 456 (188RMB with free shipping) just because I've never tried a vac filler and will probably never buy another twsbi haha.

Infinite? Oh boy...

Yeah, I'm hoping that the material is dark enough to hide some ink stains.

I'm also curious to see how the color compares to my Platinum 3776 Chartres Bleu.

It's just that the Infinite is also the one I picked up seeing the Cordierite being abnormally priced and Galaxy all vanished.

I'm sure it'll be better to see the comparison in person, but FPNner Chrisrap did a comparison last month between the two colours on the gold-trim 308 Infinity (about two minutes in). He always finds interesting things like that to check out in his pens.

Thanks for the link! Chrisrap is indeed a gift to the fp community.

It's $45 on eBay, but I'm just gonna wait a bit before I buy one. I already have the VAC700R and that thing is solid. I have a PenBBS 350 which is a copy of the Namisu Ixion and it weighs less so they definitely skimped on the material.

Well , but 70 $ on eBay !!! :wallbash:

That it's in the price range of TWSBI - Vac 700 R .

I love Fountain Pens, with hooded nib in the classic style, Parker 51/61 type .

Those are scalper prices. Official Penbbs Etsy or eBay is the way to go.

Wise decision. For me the 456 is a little too heavy in general and back heavy. You definitely want to try one before committing to more.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
