There's an error message and your comparison upload didn't go through. :( So could you describe the differences between Liquid Words and the other inks as far as how light or dark it is, and also whether it leans more blue or more red, or is just a really dark purple? I have all the other inks (although haven't tried the sample of Violette Pensee yet). And it's a toss up whether I prefer IG Gummiberry over KWZI IG Violet #3 (which is the first one of the line I tried). Plus I have a bottle of Grey Plum, and a sample of Grey Lux.

Also, do you know whether it's going to be a regular part of their line-up, or just a LE from the show? (I have a bottle of Chicago Blue, from last year's Chicago Pen Show, but *only* because the people running the show had leftover bottles and were selling them at their table at another show.)

Thanks in advance. And possibly not -- I'm kinda on a budget at the moment... but another KWZI *purple*? Yum.... :puddle:

Yes, the comparisons would be very nice. The KWZ Facebook page said that it would become available to the general public through their usual retailers, but it wouldn't be with the pen show special label. But I couldn't tell if it was going to LE or if made part of the regular lineup.

Unfortunately - a very unreliable photo. One day I'll make it with DSLR...

It kind of reminds me of their existing Berry?

Maybe it does. I don't own one. But it's definitelly deeper violet, so it's rather close to berry, than completely berry. Next week I'll fill my Ranga f-pen with 1.5 mm stub to do the berry test.

Thank you for sharing this with us!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Thanks for sharing the pictures of the pen show. Looks like it was well attended with vendors as well as patrons. I'll be looking for this ink when it arrives here at our US vendors, as violet is one of my favorite ink colors, and KWZ one of my favorite brands.

Want!

+1 on that. And I say that as having JUST bought a bottle of IG Gummiberry.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
