New Pen Magazine: Penthusiast

Recommended Posts

Discovered this new pen magazine, PenThusiast at the Baltimore pen show. They had a table setup and gave free copies to attendees.

Very nice magazine that not only has articles about fountain pens, but other "analogue lifestyle" interests and subjects.

Their editorial advisory board includes Kerry Adams, Stephen Brown, Paul Erano and Joseph M. Vitolo, DMD.

Seems like a pretty cool magazine. How many pages were the issues at the pen show?

Hopefully these people are willing to ship overseas.

Thanks for sharing this Tasmith.

Im almost ready to subscribe but they have apparently not updated their website, at least the one I can see on my iPad. The one I see says something about coming soon in August 2017. I will check again from my desktop PC. Seems promising. I almost subscribed to Paul Eranos newsletter and think its a good thing hes on the board. And Joe Vitolo is a well-known Spencerian enthusiast who is active in the IAMPETH organization (https://www.iampeth.com/home).

I have requested a complimentary copy.

Is the Steven Brown the same guy famous for all those YouTube fountain pen reviews?

Yes, the same Steven Brown.

Kerry Adams is of the Pens & Tea YouTube channel.

I received the December, 2017 and February, 2018 issues at the show. Read and enjoyed each issue.

If it's an FPO address I would think they would since technically it's a California address.

Oh cool, I hope so. I know a lot of companies have issues with sending stuff to me just for being overseas but I'll have to try and find out.

Also, ~30-40 pages sounds like a decent amount of content. If I can get a copy, I can't wait to see it.

I spent four years in Iwakuni, so I know what you mean about some companies not shipping to an FPO. Never had problems with magazines or books, just some retail companies.

No problem Emilie.

Here, as youve probably figured out by now, peoples screen names appear in the little blue bar as you see with Tasmith and the others here.

This is awesome! I hope they have trial issues left! I'd love to get a copy!

<i>Many boys will bring you flowers. But someday you'll meet a boy who will learn your favourite flower, your favourite song, your favourite sweet. And even if he is too poor to give you any of them, it won't matter because he will have taken the time to know you as no one else does. Only that boy earns your heart-Leigh Bardugo. Please assume no affiliation, as I'm just a pleased customer.

Hmmm. How did I miss this? Wait. Were they in the middle of the big ballroom? I think I did see their table, but didn't realize that there were freebies available.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
