Trying To Find These Pen Cases

A couple of months ago I ran across a pen case that was designed with pen slots at the top like a revolver's cylinder:

(It's also possible that's what it looked like rolled-up, but I can't be sure.) It was available in different sizes including a triangle (for 3 pens), square (4 pens), pentagon (5 pens), etc. If I remember correctly it was made of ballistic nylon and not leather.

Does anyone know what I'm referring to? My Googling is striking out with this...

I did run across this similar leather Wancher design, which is available in 3- and 5-pen configurations, but I'm pretty sure this isn't the case/roll I remember seeing.

OH YEAH and Rickshaw is a real FP enthusiast!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I flew into LA from San Francisco for the weekend of the LA Pen Show. Waiting at LAX for a ride to the show, a man turns to me.

"That's a nice bag you've got there."

My EDC bag is from Rickshaw Bagworks, and the man was the owner of the company! He introduced himself (his name is Mark). We had a pleasant chat, then went our separate ways.

I get to the hotel, check in, get my badge, and head out to the show floor. While browsing, I hear a voice behind me.

"That's a nice bag you've got there."

I turn around, and it was Mark from Rickshaw again! We shared the same flight into LA, and we were both headed to the show.

He carried a small number of Rickshaw tote bags he made up especially for the show. As a loyal Rickshaw owner and pen enthusiast, he gave me one - it was so useful to have at the show and it got a lot of comments from other attendees.

I think I mght order the 3-slot or 4-slot case this weekend. Have to think about whether I want to customize any of the colors.

I currently have this LIHIT Lab case as well as a small hard case; they do the job, but I'm not crazy about them.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
