I have posted this before, I do not have the same photo uncapped, I will have to take it sooner or later... :)

from left to right

Ranga 5 mottled brown

Ranga 3 (flat top) mottled green

Ranga 4C (rounded ends) pink swirl bakul

Ranga 3C olive swirl bakul

Ranga 3C olive swirl polished

Aurora Talentum (as size comparison)

The main difference between the 3 and the 4 (whether C or not) is the step down between section and barrel.

The 4 has the step down the 3 does not.

That looks good on the 4 when the pen is closed (flush)

But can be annoying depending where you place your fingers. The 4 still has quite a long section so it is unlikley your fingers will be on the step down. My preference still goes to the 3 for the lack of step down.

here is the 4

mpkandan,

I ordered a 5" pen number 3C & reduce diameter of whole pen.

I would like to change to NO CLIP.

Please make pen without a clip.

It was red/yellow #17 ebonite pen

Thank You

Dave G.

Will take a note of that

Does anyone know what color/pattern of premium ebonite picture #7 (on the far right) in the first picture is? I love that pattern, but it doesn't look like any of the listed colors.

That was limited edition ....model 5.

Hope to see that soon in future

Any possibility of getting a Jowo nib instead of Bock? Bock nibs are great, but they write too wide for me.

Dear Mr. Antsy sir,

This Group Buy price is for Bock nib versions only. You can try Bock Fine or Extra Fine nib.

Jowo nib versions are available in regular price.

Dear Sir,

We cannot reduce diameter of the whole pen. It would be another model 3CS.

We can reduce the diameter of the section if you need.

Would it be possible to make a model 5 but to put a vintage Waterman nib of # 2 or # 4?

That will be custom order and for that you will have to place order outside the Group Buy ...

Ok...I'd like to have that one outside of the group #2 buy at regular price if possible.

5" long and as previously requested and clipless.

Great to hear this news, Can you tell me what are these pens' size different with emperor?

Does the "Acrylic Demonstrator" Version with full pen Polished so I can see through the whole pen?

Thank you very much.

I understand! Oh well. The last couple of group buys I seen have been for Bock - hope they bring back the Jowos one of these days.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
