And Green. Oh yeah, and Blue, just in case.

Yes please! Brown, fine nip please!

Add lightness and simplicate.

Are we still getting the brown one? I see white, red, blue, and green are now available (though UK eBay) - but none of the gorgeous brown.

That was remiss of me, and now that I search for them, the listing is gone: probably sold out. Sorry.

Yep, already sold out everywhere. Hopefully that means Victo will make a bunch to meet the demand!

The first batch like 601 and some other Wing Sung made by victo have problems......

Did the second batch of 601 turn out ok without problems?

I bought my 601 on February 25th, is it the second or the first batch?

And mine hasn't given me any issues so far. So leaks, burps, cracks. The breather tube is crooked, I have concerns about it cracking where it's crooked, but no issues with it so far.

Feb 25th ; that should be the 2nd ( or is it third ) / New Year Batch ; which is the one preceding the current " Final version " , I got one in that Lake Blue also, so far working right for me

That's in line with my assumption and what I gathered from following threads here, thank you!

Has anyone with better Chinese skills than mine read any reviews of the first batch of these pens? There were some reviews on the original Taobao listing but they were removed along with the listing as soon as the pens sold out. I've seen just a couple scattered around the internet, one had a picture of the pen with the clip broken off. A little nervous...

Did read plenty of those, overall it seems a high % of those delivered suffer from poor fitting and manufacturing / assembly. Resulting in leakage, damaged / detached clip / cap ring. I would caution and I suppose Victo know about it too as they pull the model from the shelf soon as this get out and it looks like yet another premature release from them. Its also reported that the cap seems to be turned not quite right ( sloppy workmanship, do not fit well or simply having issue screwing onto the barrel ). The pen part though seems to work fine and the nib was reported to give some slight degree of line variation, and write decent if not great.

That's what I had feared. Thanks for summarizing all the issues for us!

Looks like this one might have to wait until Christmas. :glare:

FrankUnderwater's blog offers some insight about it. Bad news is that WingSung decided to remove the white dot - and PenBBS banned some people for their harsh political comments

PenBBS is IMHO is a place good for news but simply too much prejudice and too little real discussion, not to mention any of the Chinese based media site are likely to have pretty heavy handed censorship.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
