As of today I am using a Parker 95, silver plated, made out of brass and with gold plated trim accents. I found this pen in it's box 3 weeks ago in a closet and I love it. I am currently using the cartrige of ink it came with. Would you recommend other ink to use? post-147702-0-33585500-1548511488_thumb.jpg

For Some reason, I could not get the shimmer and chatoyance to show up in the same photo angle.

Two vintage Watermans: a ripple #7 with red semi-flexible nib and replacement clip (filled with Waterman Serenity Blue) and a silver pearl #94 with an early rivet clip and flat cap band (filled with Edelstein Sapphire).

I am absolutely chuffed by how good a job Dan Smith did on the nib on the Pelikan M600 Vibrant Orange I ordered from Nibsmith.com. Dan, thank you very much!

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

This pen had a section crack but is too cool to not fix up flexible nib with more controllable flex although my writing doesnt really do it justice...got the original twist filler sacked and working fine.

Prototype Namisu Nova in Comet Grey with an absolutely divine stainless steel Bock EF nib. All for £21.50 delivered -They're having a SALE.

No scuffs or marks on the body as I was expecting. The section however is a slightly different Comet Grey to the barrell for those OCD types out there.

My love for this pen continues to grow

(The ink on the paper is "My Griz" = 5 parts Chelpark Black, 2 parts Gris de Payne and 20 parts water. Useless as an ink, wonderous as a wash)

Hi, my name is Phil, and I would like to share some of my artwork with you. I turn and carve pens..Please check my pens and kindly respond with your thoughts and opinions. Any feedback would be great and I really appreciate your time and support: especially any suggestions on pricing my pens. I spent over 55 to 65 hours on each pen. Thank you for looking and your support. .

Sincerely,

I haven't inked or used my Lamy Safari fountain pen for several months now, because to my best recollection the Lamy EF nib failed to produce a line even as narrow as F nibs on my (cheap or 'premium') Japanese pens. I'm therefore pleasantly surprised to see how finely it wrote after I filled it with Diamine Graphite last night.fpn_1546829263__delike_wooden_barrel_penfpn_1546832039__delike_acrylic_barrel_pe

Hi there. Which are these pens? They seem really pretty and comfortable to use. Any chance you could post pictures of their nibs. Or a link if you have reviewed them.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
