Saturation week: use the most saturated ink you have.

As usual, don't forget to share with us your choice of ink, your writing, drawing, doodling or anything with the ink in this thread. You can take a photo, make a scan, or even better, write letters and CRV reviews (what is a CRV?) and mail them to the many ink pals here. You are welcome to check back on this thread even when we've gone past this week.

Click here to read more about this community project. Links to the two previous links can be found there too.

This may or may not be my most saturated ink, but it's certainly one of them, and one I haven't used yet. :)

I discovered after making and uploading the above that this ink prefers Clairefontaine paper, where it shows more blue than on the Rhodia I usually use (and used above).

The pen in a Fountain Pen Revolution Indus with their flex nib. Diamine 1864 Blue Black (for the search engine). This is my first use of this ink, and I won't be buying a bottle.

I was going to go with my favorite super saturated ink, Rouge Hématite, but I think I've used it earlier. So I'll go with his sister, Émeraude / Esmeralda / Emerald of Chivor. I have filtered out most of the sparkles since the ink alone is what I love most:

And naturally, we have to have a glamour shot of the sheen...

So if 10 ml is 300% would 20 ml be 150% of normal?

I was going to fill a pen with Organics Studio Henry David Thoreau Walden Pond, but instead I chose Diamine Sargasso Sea: :) If nothing else it's a shorter name. :D

Cornflower is a wonderful ink! To me, it looks more rich and elegant than BSB (the latter being more vivid and bright). Nice choice!

Blatantly copied from a gorgeous piece of art by Joseph Kosuth (1945). 276 (On Color Blue), 1993

The words and original artwork spoke a lot about saturation to me.

"276. But don’t we at least mean something quite definite when we look at a colour and name our colour-impression? It is as if we detached the colour-impression from the object, like a membrane.
(This ought to arouse our suspicions)"

Ink: Private Reserve American Blue

(Paper was lit with a torch to emphasise the colour)

I love Cornflower too. I bought a TWSBI ink bottle specially to put mine into.

@Ruaidhri This was an absolutely wonderful bit of writing, and I hope that you're able to maintain the style once all of the medications are out of your system.  Take care and recover quickly!

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.

Reminds me of the day my associates and I developed a cure for all mankind's ills and mistakenly wrote it down with invisible ink.

Was that the end of the Laboratory? Somehow the exactitude created a fully destructive device, as always!
