Phoenix Desert Pen Collectors Meeting Nov 4

Hello Phoenix folks, and any who would like to join us in a few weeks!

Our next meeting is November 4 at 10 AM at the Cracker Barrel off 202 at Dobson exit (near Bass Pro Shops). We will meet, eat, share and continue to grow our merry band of collectors.

 

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

asked if there was a meeting room, there was none, so I looked around the crowd a few times

but didn't find the meeting.

Tom--so sorry we missed. We left word at the desk with my name and "Fountain Pen Club or Collectors" Girl didn't know what a fountain pen was, but said she would pay attention. I made a few passes through the lobby, but sounds like I just missed you. I'll send out my cell number to all before next meeting so we can be sure to catch everyone. Cracker Barrel was busy and noisy so not a good choice going forward. We will keep looking. A regular spot will help us all. Happy to do it at my house, but something more central is better. Ideas anyone??

 

Jim was a new face this week and has an interesting collection. Hard rubber, numerous Pelikans, and some neat contraptions with a fountain pen at one end and a mechanical pencil at the other. mid-30's vintage.

 

Our next meeting is January 13th at 10 AM, venue TBD. We will have some neat door prizes from our local supporters Penchetta (Scottsdale Rd @ Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd) and hopefully others.

 

I have been in contact with Tucson group also and hopeful some of them might travel north to meet with us.

Until then have a great holiday season and be sure to bring your newest pen gifts to show us in January.
