List Of Sailor Pro Gear Colors

Recommended Posts

While the 1911 is my go-to writer, the distinct shape of the Pro Gear has a special place in my heart. The goal of this thread is to encompass Pro Gears of every color ever released. This makes categorizing a little bit easier for us Sailor fans.

The following models are included: Pro Gear King of Pen, Pro Gear, Pro Gear Realo, Pro Gear Slim, Pro Gear II, Pro Gear II Realo, Pro Gear II Slim, Pro Gear Mini, Pro Gear Slim Mini.

I need your help! If you have colors to add or find errors (i.e. duplicates) in the list, please leave a post below.

Thanks for this! Some of these are special editions and other LEs distributed by Wancher, I believe.

There may be some of the ones distributed by Penhouse missing from the list, but not sure.

Good grief! That's every color in the rainbow plus! I had no idea it came in so many colors.

Theres a Maruzen Imperial Blue, with a matte blue body and ruthenium trim. Theres a Nagasawa Kitanozaka exclusive, as well as a recent Nagasawa Hatoba (I think) PG Realo. Bungbox had a yellow and gold trim PG Realo (called Soleil, I think), an Ink of Witch PG Slim, and their recent PG Ebisu.

Thanks! I've added them. I'm really liking that Rokko Island Sky.

Very time consuming, but I wonder if segregating LE pens might be benificial?

I will check to see if I have any that should be on the list.

How about doing the awful work of linking the color to the pen?

How does a "lame red" Sailor PG e.g. look like?

If you search google, there are lot's of different red PG coming up.

That's the plan. But it appears I can't edit the first post. Will try to find a solution.

Maruzen had 10th year anniversary pen for their Maru no Uchi store, kind of a dark metallic blue/purple. I got the last one but can not seem to find sny mention of what they called the color. Will keep looking unless someone chimes in with the name before I can find it.

I love those Realo demonstrators! I can't really afford it right now and I expect they don't ship to USA, but I would want one ;)

They won't do USA shipping but you can use a proxy buying service, that is of course additional $ on top of the pen's price.

This thread will be interesting if you dont mind digging yourself deeper into a grave much like my sailor ink thread

Since this list will be very dynamic as much as how fast Sailor can spit out shop LEs in Japan

also note you are missing the 2 Takashimaya nt pens that came out IIRC in 2000 or so

you can also use

http://www.sailor.co.jp/limited as a viable source to get your feet wet and see which likely culprits will be getting a steady supply of LE pens

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
