DARN, the links to the old seem to have quit working.

I'm adding one of them back here:

I will try and get the others reposted here as well. If I can't find them, I will try and create them. If you have one of the old ones, please repost them here.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

From our admin, Wim.

To make things easier to find, in this topic you will find a bunch of images collected from various sources as used on FPN to show you are a Letter, Postcard, Ink or Paper Exchange Participant.

These images are normally put into one's signature, with some html or BB-code, specific to a signature.

The code to use in your signature is listed underneath each image. All you need to do is copy the code, and paste it into your signature.

If you have any other images, please let me know, I will gladly add them to the collection, in this post (or the next), for everyone to find them easily.

Just for clarification, if you want to use the direct links, you click the Java Void switch BEFORE you paste the bracketed information into your signature. You will know that it is switched because the other options are grayed out.

Okay, let's try some detailed instructions.

Navigate to your control panel for your personal signature.

(BTW, check out the instructions for uploading images to FPN since we offer free hosting for the images you post here).* Some fine details may apply.

So, once there, edit your signature and once you have the URL of your image, click the little tree icon.

fpn_1504201671__2017-08-31_103336_am.jpe

Now, just in case you were wondering, I pasted the URL of the picture I wanted to add into the address bar. For example, this is the info for the image in my prior post.

Now, you can click on these images to see the larger image. If you right click on an image, you can usually choose to "Copy the Image Address" and then Paste that URL (image address) into the box.

Once you paste the information, then save that address.

Once you add the Image, you can see what the signature looked like before and what it looks like now.

Once you save the changes, the top and bottom sections look the same.

Now, if you wanted to understand what the brackets were for, click the little switch and see the code or turn it back the usual "on" position and what you see is what you get.

Did you remember to 'click off the Java void switch'? That's where I went wrong. See Amber's last detailed post from the beginning.

Thank you for your reply Chrissy. It appears that it's worked now, although I'm not sure how as I hadn't done anything different.

But that you all the same :)

You're welcome. :) I've been learning about that switch while posting my ink reviews. I didn't know what it did until a couple of months ago. :)

Hey folks! Not sure if this question belongs here or elsewhere but... Is it possible for members to design additional sets of badges for others to use? I would love to try my hand at designing a set!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
