Durability: Does The Fpr Guru Leak?

Hi,

I am wanting to buy a flex pen I can take on my book tour. There will be lots of travel (including airplanes) and probably a bit of getting knocked about in my bag. Would the FPR Guru leak all over my stuff? My original plan was to take my Safari (which I bought primarily for it's durability), but am now thinking I'd like my autographs to have a bit more flourish!

Not sure I'd describe the Guru as ideal for a knockabout pen, but then I had a 100% piston failure rate with the two that dwell here at Weevil Burrows.

How about a 1.1 italic nib to bring flourish from your Safari?

I have three Gurus, and have never had a problem with durability or leaking. In fact, because they have shorter, more streamlined profile I carry them in pants pockets all the time. You may wish to "set up" your Guru by heat setting the feed, greasing the piston and making sure it is drawing all the way back. I find these pens can be wet and have less capacity than other piston fillers so you will want an extra bottle or vial of ink.
