Burned Orange - Graf Von Faber-Castell

Graf von Faber-Castell was founded in 1761 and developed into the major manufacturer of wood-cased pencils. With time they started to offer much broader range of products. Few years ago company's introduced six inks. Last year they've added three new colors to the line. This year they've done the same. Three new GvFC colors hit the shelfs.

Burned Orange is nice orange ink with rich shading. Probably it's not the best orange ever created but if you like the brand and look for some new orange this one is more than decent. The flow is very good, lubrication satisfying, there's almost no feathering or bleedthrough.

Thanks for the review. I've been eagerly anticipating one on this color, but this hardly seems to be a "burned" orange. That name makes me think of a warmer, earthier,and browner orange. I like the color, but I've got others in this range that I already enjoy.

That doesn't look much like a burned orange to me, but a perfectly ripe one!

 

I'm not much of an orange fan (it makes me look v. washed out if I try to wear it), but when I do go for orange, I tend to go for these bright, happy shades of it.

I looked for this at a supplier in Sydney yesterday. They said that none of the three new release GvFC inks would be brought in to Australia. A pity I did not include the orange when I bought the turquoise (along with some other stuff to spread the freight cost) recently. I quite like it.
