Jet pens says In Stock. I dunno. If it is still in stock i am surprised. I have no affiliation with them.

I just had 2 samples of it arrive from GouletPens, and to my surprise the shimmer barely shows up at all with wet dip pen writing. I can see the shimmer on the sides of the dip pen and on the towel where I wiped it off, but not on paper, beyond a faint veil of sparkles if I look closely under bright light at the wider strokes. Basically for all practical purposes, the ink looks like matte blue-purple.

Now I wonder if my ink sample decants were made without shaking the ink bottle. I'm also not seeing any of the gold sheen from the OP photographs.

Edit: wow, same deal with my sample of Emerald of Chivor :( No sheen to speak of and close to no shimmer :( My samples must be mostly pure ink dye without many particles.

Could also be your paper.

Tried different paper, though not Tomoe River. I have other inks showing their sheen well. I think my samples weren't mixed uniformly.

I want this ink for my birthday. Thank you for the writing samples. Those help so much more than swatches and super wide nibs.

Mine arrived today. Happy, happy me![/quote

Mine arrived today. I wish I had ordered two bottles. Looks fairly nice on Fabriano paper.

WOO HOO! Picked up a bottle on Sunday at the Commonwealth Pen Show. The Bob Slate's table had a few bottles and I decided to grab one ASAP, since the woman working at the table said they'd only gotten 12 bottles in, rather than do a zoom around the room to see who had what.... Haven't even opened it (I just got home from MA around 6 PM this evening, and had to turn around almost immediately to go off to choir rehearsal).

I'm not generally a purple or a glitter fan but I'm currently using some Diamine Bilberry and enjoy it. My 8yo daughter on the other hand loves all things purple and glitter just adds to the awesomeness so I may pick up a bottle in an effort to get her using fountain pens more.

I ordered from Cult Pens and it arrived the next day. I love the colour, but slightly disappointed in that the particles don't show up as much as I was expecting. I currently have Diamine Moonshadow in my other pen, and the "glitter" is much more noticeable.

Quite surprised that the ink is still in stock and there aren't that many reviews around, post ink release.

I am using this in a med tip Cross FP. The amount of glitter showing up varies. Still on the first fill on the pen and when slightly shaken in the pen, it shows up a lot on Fabriano paper and depends on how light hits it. I wouldnt think older guys like me would like this ink but it enhances my journal writing and the color is great. Same is true for Emerald of Chivor...another favorite. Several new inks have motivated me to do more journaling. Not just black and blue anymore.

Has anyone else looked at the back of the bottle. Are the bottles numbered? Mine says 000982.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
