All good, although I have to admit I haven't tried any of those brands of ink yet.

I run on Caffeine, Sarcasm and inappropriate thoughts.

Well, I will send you a sample of something when I send you a TWSBI loaner.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I am pleased with your doodles, but all these inks are not making it easy to resist purchasing more. Let's keep these doodles coming.

Isn't that part of the point? I mean, the topic / category was started by the "Inky! En-Abe-Lawyer"... ;)

Beautiful doodles there parker.

Thank you Amberleadavis asked me to post the doodle of the diamine bottle. Not knowing of this thread, I've been recently experimenting with some ink bottles :)

Ok, I also made some ;)

34465180552_bdb30f41ca_z_d.jpg....... etc.

This and each of the other sketches in this post are Uh-MAZING!!! I'm happier for stumbling across your post!!!

Made two bookmarks, one is in the mail, the other one is waiting for an occasion. Maybe I'm using it myself..?

And THESE!!! WOW!! What a stellar gift for a book-loving, fountain pen enthusiast. Anyone would be thrilled to receive one.

Thank you very much, greatly appreciated. Currently I'm more wasting ink than doodling ink bottles. Edelstein Sapphire to be precise, terribly try, but ok for painting with it, so I can spare my Asa gao.

As for the boolmarks, both are on their way to book/ fountainpen lovers. I still have a sample sheet in the same size so I make two more in the foreseeable future. The weight is only 200g instead 450g, but still suitable for a bookmark. I had a bit hit or miss with punching a hole the last time, because I don't have very much crafting tools and have to improvise.

In Inktober I'm planning to sketch a fountainpen portrait a day and will probably include a few ink bottles also.

it's in 600dpi resolution, so you can print it out and make whatever you like. I used to cut out the bottles and used them as stickers on my envelopes. But please look at the creative commons license, I put this under

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
