Are Some Conklin Endura Not Marked?

I have what I think is a smaller Conklin Endura, but it is not marked "Endura" anywhere on the barrel or nib. Were some Enduras not marked? The barrel Ssays Conklin and Toledo (see pic), and the nib is marked "Toledo" I have attached a few pics of the pen. The length capped is exactly 5 inches, barrel diameter is 0.46 inches.The lever is marked "Pat Nov 17, 1925". I would appreciate any info on whether this is an Endura, and maybe time frame of production.

I have eight Endura Seniors, and they are all marked Endura on the barrel.

 

Yours is probably a "Five Dollar Pen" manufactured in 1926.

Seeming lack of annular lines on cap and barrel tells against it being and Endura.

The 5 dollar pens were made with the same plastics as the Enduras, according to The Conklin Legacy.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
