Very cool that you wrote out your introduction to the forum. My first fountain pen was a Waterman Lauriet, and it wrote, well writes, well.

Hello and welcome to FPN, from Cape Town (South Africa).

To sit at one's table on a sunny morning, with four clear hours of uninterruptible security, plenty of nice white paper, and a [fountain] pen - that is true happiness!

Hello and welcome from Indiana!

Thank you. I grew up in Gary, still have lunch at Giovanni's in Munster from time to time.

Very sad that Phil Smidt's and Strongbow Turkey Inn close.

Welcome aboard,from Charleston, SC.

Mike

Thank you.

Fond memories of two visits to Charleston include a couple of ties, a seersucker suit, and some eyeglass frames (including those I'm wearing in the photo) from Ben Silver Clothiers,

Thank you, fellow Midwesterner.

Hat tip on that to Tom Kellie in the Montblanc forum. And it's a way of ensuring that any original post is worth the time to write it out, scan it, and reduce the size so I don't go over the upload limit max. I do that for text messages now, too.

Welcome !

I went through my teen years, with a Wirehaired Fox Terrier, in our home. Many times, I fell asleep on the living room floor, while studying. When I awoke, Rebel would be curled next to me. When I came home on leave (I, too, was a Navy officer.), he was waiting. I think Rebel and Lucky are raising quite a ruckus, right now ! (because All Dogs Go To Heaven)

Write with joy.

Thank you, shipmate, especially for the story about Rebel.
