RudraDev
I'll recommend a pen-paper-ink combo for under 1000 rupees that works like a charm. For paper, Classmate Pulse notebooks, which run for round 150 rupees for a 300 page notebook. For Ink, buy Waterman Blue or Black (or any other color you like) for around 400 rupees. For the pen, get the Jinhao X450/X750/Shark/51A in a Medium or Fine nib for 400-450 rupees. And there you have it! This combo has withstood the struggles of an engineering student in India, so it will not disappoint you!

Jinhoa X750 is a decent pen.But It is a heavy pen and it may have quality control issues sometimes. I would suggest, a beginner must go with safe Indian pens (3 in 1) rather than Chinese. The reliability of my ASA daily is astonishing. I am impressed with Bril ink. It is an excellent cheap ink. It's only problem, It fades !
