Diamine Shimmertastic Purple Pazzazz

There are more formal, and better reviews already posted, but as I have found the Purple I was looking for, here are a few thoughts:

Note, that I'm not one of those weird people who like dry pens. I like pens that gush - both pens used are pretty wet writers.

There's a reasonable amount of shading under that gold.

Comes in a 50ml bottle. Not an expensive ink, but a little dearer than the excellent value standard Diamine Inks.

Dry times are very paper and pen dependent, but I was getting smudging on most papers up to the 20 second mark (and beyond on less absorbent papers).

Do a search - there are better reviews on here.

I love it, and with a fine nib would happily use at work even with the odd sparkle.

My fingers look like I've spent the day blackberry picking.

Thanks for the review.

I just got a bottle of this (for some reason I thought I already had one, and even had marked in my inventory that I did, but couldn't find it). So when I was ordering a bunch of inks a couple of weeks ago, this one got added in. It's such a pretty color and I do like the gold in it (although my favorite of this line so far has been Blue Pearl). Of course, inks like this need to be in a broad and/or wet nib to really show them to their best advantage, and they aren't exactly "business professional" -- unless you're a calligrapher or artist, of course.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

If a pen doesn't write with a pretty wet line when I get it then those tines quickly find themselves adjusted :P I've not tried Blue Pearl yet, but it's on my list to try - I like Blue Flame a lot.
