Hi,

Thanks so much for doing another group buy, Im always very excited to get a pen from you. This time I have ordered two pens and was hoping you could help me with an issue as well. In my last order, I asked that the barrel length be a little shorter and I was hoping you could do the same on both of these pens I just ordered and if possible it would be great to have an EF nib on both the pens.

I ordered:

1. Translucent Flat Bottom - Silver clip + Dual Tone F Jowo Nib

2. Blue Black Ripple Round Ends - Gold clip + Dual tone F Jowo Nib.

My e-mail on it was Jiejiaxiang@gmail.com

Thanks!

Order placed for 2 pens. I'm so pleased that the group buy has become an instant hit--it's a great offer, and I'm confident that quite a few more will take advantage of it.

I'm going to order a Model 4, but would like to get some advice from the group. I bought a polished rose red-black ripple Model 3C in an earlier group buy. I'd like to get a Model 4 in a matte (bakul) finish this time.

Any recommendations on a color that goes well with the matte finish?

form submitted for the flat top demonstrator with polished finials, cc version, M Jowo nib chorme.

I have the 4c in red/black ripple bakul and find the look is very nice, although my favourite bakul colour is olive ripple.

I have seen the green ripple in bakul and like that very much too, very nice is also black bakul, and red cheery (although may not be available in this run if I recall).

fellow FPNers will forgive me posting this before but it does show the two a/m bakuls well

Thanks for the picture! I agree that the olive ripple looks very good with the bakul finish.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
