Thanks for posting.

Under $1 including mailing for a perfectly usable cartridge pen, with a converter.

Remarkable.

Worth buying even if you don't use it and just give it away to someone who would like to take a dip in the pen ocean.

The offer from insteadnow seems to have expired .

When trying to buy (one piece), I get the message: This item isn't available in the requested quantity. It may have been purchased already, or the listing has expired.

Was it the first one you were buying? When I tried to order more than one I got the message "purcharses are limited to one per buyer"

This is quite often the case - sometimes you could buy 2, but most of the times just 1.

Usually waiting a week is needed before buying another one.

I just received the same message. I only tried to buy one, and I haven't purchased one from them for over a year.

I've been eyeing that for sometime but I was a bit doubtful because it was cheaper than the other Jinhao x450

For all of those who are saying they can't buy it, I ordered a minute ago and had no problems!

I'm looking forward to my first not childish looking nice pen!

I guess you can only buy one from them ever. Ah well, I'll just enjoy the one I already have. :)

Just bought one too. How can they sell a fountain pen for only 99 cents AND include free (and tracked) shipping?

I paid $.65 shipped for my Hero 616, that has to be the cheapest I ever paid for a fountain pen but that was through auction. I did the 2+1 order of the x450. At $.99 it would still be a good deal if it were only the nib, feed and converter.

Also purchased one even though I don't need another pen. Have had a couple of the knock-off versions. Could require a bit of work but they can still be salvaged. Besides, where can you have some fountain pen fun for only 99 cents?

Thank you very much for your generosity, but I cannot accept it: Please keep it for yourself and enjoy it.

I already ordered (and got) one from them back in October 2015, so perhaps it is what others have stated here: That you can only get one in your lifetime!

I am curious though on how can they run such kind of automatic control in eBay sales.

Thanks again, Bagdatapolous.

No problem, I havent used one but I understand that the 750 Jinhao - sounds like we are talking motorcycles! - is worth the additional cost over the 450. they seem excellent value.

What would be the average time for this pen to arrive at a US address? The tracking on this shipment is not working!

In the old song, I would like to get you on a slow boat to China, the have replaced the 'to' with 'from' and now use that boat for pen deliveries, I ordered a pen on March 16, estimated delivery is a very big window of March 29 through to April 29.

The X750 and X450 are similar regarding quality. I prefer the X450, but the X750 is nice as well. Don't forget the 159 ;)

Thanks, I have a couple of 159s, I think they are great, one is looking well worn and all the better for that. Just ordered a 750 in a lava red, $2.50 including mailing.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
