Markol
To my best knowledge 9142 was a short series which didn't stay longer in a regular production. I don't now if it was available worldwide, but it's still available in Poland (with fine nibs only). If you are interested in this pen, let me know via Messenger. I will try to find it for you. AL01
I love the Prelude, especially the Fort Madison Preludes. My favourite of all are these, especially the Rainbow set. Is the 3rd one to the right thicker than the others?
ian1964
Is the 3rd one to the right thicker than the others? No, but I see what you mean. I think it is because I made the pen box and not all the slots are exactly the same size, thus giving the impression of a different dimension. Sorry.

Yes Markol, it does look like mine. In fact, my faint memory now seems to say to me that it was not named bronze, but looked bronze. I used it for some years, so there is some minor scratching on the body, you need a loupe to see that. But these pens feel so good, write so well, that I can't help keeping it inked up all the time, and using it once in a while. So, I'm sure what I bought is the 366 copper model. Actually, i like the finish much more than if it was a bright copper color, it is so deep and rich. Do you use any of your Preludes, or are they just for collecting? Thanks for the high quality photograph. I still have my box somewhere around, probably in a storage case full of pen boxes. I love your Holiday 97 Snow Pen. I paid $75 for my Prelude from Fountain Pen Hospital in 1997. Don't know what they are worth today. Markol
Do you use any of your Preludes, or are they just for collecting? I love your Holiday 97 Snow Pen. I paid $75 for my Prelude from Fountain Pen Hospital in 1997. Don't know what they are worth today. Of course I try to use them all, at least for one cartridge . I know that "never inked" pens increase their value after years, but I can't stop myself . I bought my Holiday 1997 Prelude for approx. 70 USD. The original price was 95 US (I found a stick with the price in my set), so their value hasn't grown so far, but let's wait another twenty years...

Kenlowe
This was a promotional item, I think from around 1977, not sure. By a Sheaffer Prelude to win a Honda Prelude. Don't tell him Pike
Markol
This was a promotional item, I think from around 1977, not sure. By a Sheaffer Prelude to win a Honda Prelude. To my best knowledge Sheaffer started to Produce Preludes in 1997, after Targa was discontinued.Honda Prelude has been produced since 1978, and the first generation looked like that http://i.imgur.com/7SRRsCr.jpg The car on your photo is 5th generation of Honda Prelude (1996-2001), so the promotion had to be in this period

Uncial
I own the Copper Prelude which served me through my first job very well. I still own it but rarely ink it yet have kept it for sentimental reasons. I do recall buying it not long after watching the Godfather and feeling it suited that aesthetic and period rather well. gee09
Picked up this Prelude a little while ago, Like the Imperial Pattern Signature with a few difference's, old style nib in a signature gripping section, no black filled lines and a different emblem on the cap top.
